I've been eager to find more information on Matteo Carcassi. The post I've been able to come up with is this pdf edited by Marco V. Bazzotti. It's only a handful of paragraphs, so I'm wondering what it's based on and if there's anymore info out there about dear old Matteo.
Rob Mackillop is such an inspiration to plucked string players. He plays every variation of guitar, lute, and banjo that you can come up with, and he's been a great advocate for the no-nails approach. I've found out recently that he's been ill and in the hospital. So let's wish him a speedy recovery and take some time to check out his youtube page and his classical guitar website.
